HOUSTON, TEXAS, June 23, 2015 – Stewart Tubular Products was recognized by the Near Northwest District as a “Change Champion” for their new state-of-the-art headquarters and manufacturing facility at 5951 N Houston Rosslyn near Antoine Drive. Steve Goldstein, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Alan Whitney, Vice President of Manufacturing, accepted the award. “Stewart Tubular Products’ former facility was a combination of several buildings that were spread out. Stewart Tubular chose this location for our new headquarters and manufacturing facility because of its location and proximity to our customers.”

Wayne Norden, President of the Near Northwest Management District met with Stewart Tubular Products President Steve Samuel and Steve Goldstein to place the “Change Champion” pennant at Stewart Tubular Products’ facility. The pennant will remain on display through early September. “Our new state-of-the-art facility doubles our capacity and allows us to provide the best deliveries to our customers,” said Steve Samuel, President of Stewart Tubular Products.

“Change Champions” are commercial property owners or businesses that are fueling the transformation of the Near Northwest Area through improvement to their property or building a new development. Given quarterly, Stewart Tubular Products’ award was announced at the District’s Business Network Breakfast held June 4, 2015.

The Near Northwest Management District’s Livable Centers Study made a number of recommendations for improving the livability and values of the area. The District has seen a growth in commercial and residential values, and has attracted $100M in new development and redevelopment in the District in the last year.

The award is made each quarter by the NNMD. Award winners are recognized at the District’s Business Network Breakfast, and are presented a commemorative plaque. The “Change Champion” pennant is displayed on the property throughout that quarter.
