GHX Industrial LLC, a Houston-based industrial gaskets and hoses supplier, has acquired a new company and is expanding into a new Houston office space.

GHX said Wednesday that it acquired Flowline Components Inc. and Flowline OEM Group Inc., which are affiliated hose suppliers based out of Baltimore. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.

By adding Flowline to its operations, GHX will add branches in both Baltimore and Greencastle, Pa., where the company has operations. Also, GHX will add more hydraulic and pneumatic fluid products and other inventory that serves agriculture, construction and food and beverage companies — Flowline's main customer base.

"Expanding our service area throughout the U.S. and Canada is an ongoing strategic focus for GHX, and the acquisition of the Flowline locations compliments our already strong North American presence," Darrell Cole, president of The United Distribution Group, which owns GHX, said in a statement.

GHX also said it recently opened a new 18,000-square-foot facility on West Little York Drive in Houston. The company also has two other Houston locations in northeast Houston and in south Houston.

Furthermore, in December, GHX expanded to Phoenix with the acquisition of Express Hose & Fittings II, a hose and fittings distributor.
