The Near Northwest Management District recognized significant new projects and investments with their annual Grow Near awards on December 1. Each of these developments signals major investments and employment opportunities for our area.
President Wayne Norden noted recent successes, including the growth of commercial property values from $700 Million when the District began to more than $2.2 Billion this year. New construction added $67M in value in the last year.

The Workshops at Breen
The Workshops at Breen is 8 light industrial buildings that house small businesses. The niche that owner Gloria Zermeno addresses is for spaces at the 1,200 square foot size. Tenants include automotive, welding, construction and catering businesses.

Antoine Plaza

Oak Street Health – White Oak
Oak Street Health – White Oak fully renovated a vacant retail space into a sleek modern medical clinic. In addition to physician services, the center also has community rooms for Medicare education events and other wellness and social activities. Target Houston Northwest
Target Houston Northwest was honored for the recent refresh of the store, for their community commitment in supporting the District’s National Night Out each year, and for co-sponsoring the inaugural Trunk or Treat that gave many children a safe place to trick or treat. Pinnacle Logistics Park
Pinnacle Logistics Park is a new warehouse development on 135 acres off Breen Drive and N Houston Rosslyn Road. Developed by Hillwood, 4 buildings plus all the infrastructure have been completed, with more acreage available. Jordan Bookstaff and John Warren accepted the award, with video here.
Norden summarized NNMD’s 2022 successes and set goals for 2023, including further public safety initiatives, beautification efforts, renewed marketing, and capital improvement projects.
