Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is proposing a major expansion of I-45 and the City of Houston wants to make sure its residents’ voices are heard.
Under the directive of Mayor Sylvester Turner, the Planning and Development Department will lead a community engagement on the North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP) and host I-45 community workshops to ensure TxDOT designs a project with positive impacts for the community, the City of Houston and the greater region.
Join the City and its team of experts for roundtable discussions on housing, traffic, flooding and drainage, air quality and other related issues. Building on previous meetings and these discussions, the City will recommend changes to TxDOT.
