What is National Night Out (NNO)?
NNO is an annual community-building celebration focused on community safety and crime prevention.
The National Night Out event is an opportunity for policing entities to meet the community in an open and friendly environment.
The public begins to recognize the officers as helpful, as well as get to see and understand the equipment officers use.
National Night Out is designed to:
Promotes camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and better places to live.
It heightens crime and drug prevention awareness.
Strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community relations.
It provides an opportunity to bring law enforcement, businesses, and neighborhoods to a fun-filled community event.
