National Night Out 2021

2021 National Night Out Report

Near Northwest Management District held its annual National Night Out Celebration at White Oak Bayou Village on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

We thank the community at large, law enforcement, first responders, and all business affiliates for making this one of the largest events in Houston.

Overview

A record number of estimated 2,500 adults, teens, and kids from the Near Northwest District came out to enjoy the National Night Out festivity at White Oak Bayou Village.

The success of this event is due to the diligent hands-on work that took place in the weeks leading up to it.  NNMD promoted the event through face-to-face interactions as well as a  strong social media push to engage the community.

Area businesses were invited to set up a tent, 30+ booths were representing apartment complexes, daycares, schools, area businesses, and an array of food and specialty services provided a fun great way to meet area residents.

Law enforcement included Harris County Precinct 1 Constable, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Mounted Patrol, Metro Police, and NNMD contracted Constables.

Families enjoyed the petting zoo, rock climbing wall, outdoor fun by NEO, a riding bull (Hollyview), inflatables, Aldine ISD theater, and tasty snacks from our many partners.

Center stage honored Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee for her attendance at NNO for the 13th year celebration.  City Council Member Amy Peck District A, Office of Tarsha Jackson District B, Office of  Abbie Kamin District C, Office of Commissioner Ellis Precinct 1, Office of Commissioner Cagle Precinct 4.

Thank you and see you next year for  National Night Out!
