Lights, Camera, ACTION! Grant Program
A matching grant program to help commercial property owners upgrade exterior lighting for safety, security, and community vibrancy.
Participants also receive a free temporary security camera (3–6 months) as a bonus!
Program Goals
- Improve Public Safety – reduce dark spots, enhance visibility.
- Support CPTED Principles – lighting that deters crime through visibility and surveillance.
- Enhance Community Well-Being – create safer, more welcoming spaces.
Grant Details
- 1:1 Matching Grant – Up to $5,000 per property.
- Bonus Incentive – SentriForce mobile security camera deployed for 3–6 months at no cost (installation, monitoring, removal included).
Who Can Apply?
- Commercial properties within NNMD boundaries.
- Must demonstrate alignment with CPTED lighting guidelines.
Program Guidelines
The purpose of this program is to create a structed grant program designed to provide financial reimbursement to commercial property owners for a portion of the cost associated with the implementation of CPTED principles. This initiative seeks to encourage property owners to enhance the safety and the quality of life of their customers, employees and the surrounding community. To reinforce this partnership, NNMD will provide a security camera for 3 to 6 months at no cost as a bonus incentive for investing in the program.
